The Best Place to Experience Winter

Make Fairmont Hot Springs Resort your winter playground

In winter the Columbia Valley turns into a winter wonderland like nowhere else. Relax in the natural hot spring’s pools, go skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, skate the Windermere Whiteway and much more. Every season is an opportunity to create new family memories.

Skiing & Snowboarding

Skiing & Snowboarding

With a total of 14 groomed runs, ranging from green to black in skill level, the Fairmont Hot Springs Ski Area provides an ideal family experience. Enjoy the nearly non-existent lift lines, the un-crowded trails, and run of perfect corduroy and panoramic views of the stunning Purcell and Rocky Mountains. Check out the new Kids Terrain Park with progressive features for beginner to advanced skiers and riders. The mountains also beckon Nordic skiers, snowshoers, and snowmobilers, while the frozen surfaces of Lake Windermere and the famous Whiteway, are perfect for skating and hockey on one of the biggest ponds you`ll ever play. Our guides at B.C. Rockies Adventures have a wide array of other activities to enjoy during the snowy months. From winter hiking to geocaching and bird watching, the team can help you discover the great outdoors.
Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing

It’s both a killer workout and an excellent way to roam the untouched terrain of our abundant wilderness leaving behind only oddly-shaped footprints.  There are plenty of trails and fresh snow to inspire you to keep trekking for the whole day – just don’t forget your snack to refuel and take five. Borrow a pair of snowshoes from the Front Desk. We have sizes for adults and children (4-12 yrs).
