What to Expect for Winter 2020/21
The health and well-being of our guests, visitors and team remains our highest priority and we are operating the Ski Area with extreme caution, and by following all government and the Provincial Health Officer’s orders and guidelines. As a result, a number of precautionary measures have been put in place to ensure that everyone will stay safe in and around our ski area.
Please do not visit if you or someone in your household is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or are feeling unwell.
The ski resorts of Canada have joined forces to create a guide to safety in the mountains this winter. Check out Ski Well Be Well before you hit the road.
- Please sanitize your hands upon entering the Ski Chalet/Rental Shop and wash your hands frequently throughout the day.
- Physical distancing protocols are in place to ensure guests and staff have plenty of space to enjoy the ski area safely.
- Face coverings are required when purchasing tickets, in lift line-ups, while loading and riding the lifts, indoors of the ski chalet and rental shop, and the parking lot.
- Washrooms and all frequently touched areas will have enhanced sanitization protocols.
- Throughout the ski area, you will see directional signage to assist everyone in safely moving through indoor and outdoor areas.
- Our plans may change as the pandemic situation continues to evolve. Please check our website for the most up-to-date information before you visit.
Season Pass Holders
Season Pass Holders will have unrestricted access as normal with no reservation system. Season Passes are valid beginning December 2020 and pass holders will have access to the hot springs pools during an allotted guest access slot for the 2020/21 Ski Season.
Purchasing Day Lift Tickets
No reservations required! Please use our outside ticket window located at the base of the ski hill. Day tickets do not include access to the hot springs pools and are not available for purchase online at this time.
Bag Storage & Lockers
In order to reduce traffic through the buildings, lockers and other onsite storage are unavailable this season. Please store your gear in your car and consider having quick breaks there during the day.
Physical distancing of 2 meters (6′) is encouraged throughout the Resort (indoors and outdoors). Please respect other people’s space and stay apart from people outside your family, bubble or cohort.
Skis and snowboards work nicely as a distance measure in the lift lines!
Face Coverings Required
Face coverings are required when purchasing tickets, in lift line-ups, while loading and riding the lifts, indoors of the ski chalet and rental shop, and the parking lot. A face covering can be a mask, neck warmer, balaclava or any other item that covers your nose, mouth and chin. Face coverings are required for guests over the age of 3 years.
Face coverings can be removed when you’re ripping down the slops and when you’re seated at your table to eat and drink.
Arrive Together, Ride Together
The group you arrive with is considered your cohort for the day. Please stick with your group on the slopes, in line-ups and while indoors.
Single riders will not be paired with others on lifts.
Currently the Province of British Columbia requires venues to operate at 50% of normal capacity with no more than 6 people at a table and as such, indoor seating will be limited. Outdoor seating and take-out options will be available. Be sure to wear your face covering indoors except when seated to eat and drink.
With the reduced capacity, we ask that you refrain from staying at a table longer than required to ensure everyone has a chance to warm up & re-fuel.
Take-out or bringing your own lunch? Make it a tailgate break! Enjoy the fresh mountain air, great views and the casual vibe. Lawn chairs welcome!
The rental shop will have select retail available for day-of-rentals. Capacity limits will be in place to adhere to physical distancing rules, if you plan to rent day-of, please allow yourself extra time.
Multi-day and season rentals highly recommended.
There will be a dedicated parking section for ski rental pick-up and drop-off.
Private lessons, smaller group lessons and family & cohort lessons will be available this season. Pre-booking is required, please call 250.345.6037 to book.
Tot lessons will not be available this season as physical distancing protocols can not be adhered to. Parent & Tot private lessons will be available.
Snowbird changes are currently under review.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back!
