Kayaking for Callaways

Kayaking for Callaways

First up, I joined our BC Rockies Adventures team on the ‘Mighty’ Columbia River for a kayak river float tour. Located at our Base Camp (next to the main lodge), the BC Rockies Adventures team provides morning and afternoon kayaking trips down the Columbia River, as well as Saturday afternoon wetlands tours. I opted for the afternoon trip conveniently starting at 2:00pm on a 28°C August afternoon. With its headwaters at the Columbia Lake, the Columbia River is the longest river in the Pacific Northwest and begins its journey to the Oregon coast by slithering down through FHSR’s Spruce Grove Campground and Riverside Golf Course. I saw this as an excellent opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery and potentially find my two lost Callaway golf balls on Hole 14 from last week.
