What It Is

Lead the banquet team during an event and execute events according to guidelines provided by Group Sales, while creating a memorable experience for our guests.

Things You’ll Do

You’ll be responsible for coordinating event details for weddings, birthday, anniversaries, and business meetings; calculating and sticking to budgets; monitoring timelines, making sure deadlines are met; keeping guests happy and resolving any complaints; make sure we have proper supplies and quantities; schedule staff to work events; coordinate any set-up and take-down; any other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

We want you to have:

  • 5 years’ experience in hospitality
  • Food Safe certificate
  • Serving It Right
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Fantastic customer service skills
  • Qualification in Events Management or equivalent is an asset

For Your Information

You will likely be:

  • Working flexible shifts including weekends, nights, early mornings and holidays
  • Occasionally lifting up to 40lbs
  • Crouching, kneeling and stooping
  • Spending long periods of time on your feet

Who You Work With

You’ll have banquet servers, porters & bartenders reporting to you; you’ll report to the Food & Beverage Manager.
