Bring on the Snow!

According to the Canadian Ski Council in an article titled “Now Screening at BC Winter Resorts: La Nina: The Sequel” , it is predicted to be yet again a fabulous snow year for many areas of B.C. Ski Resorts all throughout Canada last year received record levels of snowfall, providing some of the best conditions we’ve seen in years. Weather experts have again issued a ‚Äòwhite alert’, across B.C, so wax those ski’s and snowboards and get ready to hit the snow!

What is la Nina? Scientifically, La Nina is characterized by unusually cold ocean temperatures, which translates into more than normal precipitation and tons of snow for us here in the mountains! Along with a cold ocean come cooler temperatures, so you’ll have to bundle up when rolling around in the endless amounts of white powder.

Not only are we in store for a fantastic winter season, La Nina also means hot and dry conditions for the summer. All you beach goers who have worked hard on the slopes all winter can look forward to some quality sunbathing time.

Strap on your skis or board and head to the Rockies!
