Term and Conditions

Must be 19+ to attend. Rates are based on double occupancy. Children 12 and under stay FREE. Add $15 per additional person 13 yrs and older per night, room stay only.   After two adults an additional $49+ tax will apply for Beerfest access. Rates are subject to applicable taxes. Package not available for group bookings. Price is based on accommodation in a classic mountain view room.  Room upgrades available. 

Campsite package is for un-serviced tent or RV site and only up to 4 guests (after 2 guests, additional festival tickets need to be purchased - after 4 guests, there is an additional fee of $5 per person per night plus taxes plus their festival ticket). Maximum of 8 people per site.

Front Desk Manager

Brief Description:

This position will effectively manage operational aspects of the Front Desk and Reservations team located in the resort lodge, providing an exceptional level of customer service as well as managing and training staff and completing management duties including: training, budgeting, forecasting, payroll and scheduling. In addition, the Front Desk Manager will work closely with other departments such as housekeeping, and resort sales and marketing in an effort to maximize package and FIT bookings and guest satisfaction for all resort and group guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Creation and monitioring of annual budgeting process for the above mentioned departments
  • Participation in strategic planning for the organization
  • Hiring and Performance Management of direct reports
  • Cost analysis and containment in responsible areas
  • Guest recovery for all areas of Accommodation
  • Goal setting for respective departments
  • Overall responsibility for tte effective and efficient operation of those departments on a daily basis
  • Key contribution to ongoing marketing strategies for the Resort
  • Additional duties or responsibilities from time to time
Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Front Desk and guest service policies, procedures and standards
  • Strong written, listening and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience in the recruitment, training and  supervision of personnel
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high volume work setting with dedicated attention to detail
  • A passion for providing exceptional guest service
  • A cooperative team working ethic, fostering good relationships with other key departments including housekeeping and sales and marketing
  • Previous experience with hospitality property management systems, perferably Maestro 
Working Conditions

Weekends and evenings will be required, as well as working some long weekend holidays and peak periods like Christmas.

Physical Requirements

The ability to stand for long periods of time. Comfortable footwear is important to ensure good health is maintained.

The Front Desk Supervisor reports to the Front Desk Manager. The Front Desk Manager reports to the the COO.

Brief Description:

Execute service from either line or banquets, produce mis en place for kitchen, maintain sanitation &  safety at all times, put forth a positive attitude towards position & colleagues

Responsibilities:
  • The line cook is responsible for preparing meals according to Resort recipe standards
  • Keeping the line area clean, tidy and sanitary; and meeting all foodsafe standards.
  • Show up for scheduled shift on time and in proper uniform each day
  • Communicate before and during shift in kitchen with chef de partie/lodge chef as to primary tasks to be achieved
  • Complete training as execute assigned station with precision and consistency
  • Follow health & safety procedures and adhere to safety regulations
  • Continuously put forth a positive effort
  • Monitoring prep levels based on business levels
  • Work all stations in kitchen with confidence &  success
  • Ability to read, translate & execute all recipe specifications
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and make responsible decisions
  • Follow sanitation guidelines as per management
Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have at least two years’experience as a line cook. This position pays $13.00 per hour.

Fairmont Hot Springs Resort was the place to be this holiday season! There was an abundance of activities for families and couples alike to get in the holiday spirit.  Kids were able to get creative with tons of activities including paint your own Christmas ornaments and build your own mini gingerbread house.  Adults joined our in-house sommelier Erin for a special wine tasting followed by festive music by local duo Dos Equis around the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.   Read more
