Winter is OVER (fingers crossed) and Spring has arrived here at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. The plentiful amounts of snow that fell this past winter have melted and the nearly green grass is everywhere. Our golf courses have been busy with early season golfers enjoying their first swings in the beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures. Plus, we always have tons to do in Columbia Valley such as hiking, biking, bird watching, soaking in the hot springs and looking for the first signs of squirrels (see previous Blog post).
It’s the last weekend of the ski season, but don’t worry the fun will continue right through the summer months. We will soon be saying good-bye to the Ski Area and the white stuff, so let’s celebrate this occasion and remember all the great times by doing these 10 things. Here it goes:
Justin Curry, a cook in our main kitchen has successfully completed his first year apprentice program through the College of the Rockies. For the last 6 weeks he has been in Cranbrook leaning about all things food.
Can you believe it? Winter is in full swing and March has seen record snowfalls at many places throughout the Rockies, yet we are ready to dust of the clubs and head to the greens. Our team at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort Golf Courses have been hard at work since January preparing the courses and ensuring that we have fantastic conditions to open on the planned date of March 30th.
