Ski Hill Ticket Office Attendant

Brief Description:

The Ticket person provides friendly and efficient service in selling all lift tickets to our guest, as well as provides a high level of guest information.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all lift tickets sales throughout the day using Jencess POS system
- Open and close the ticket office and balance the daily cash and vouchers
- Deal directly with Resort guests and Vacationers
- Answer telephone as well as guest questions and inquiries
- Ticket person is also Dispatch for Ski Patrol when in need of ambulance
- Communicate with lift operators throughout the day
- Working with in a team environment and assisting with Ski School by booking lessons

Qualifications:

• Have reasonable knowledge of the sport
• Experience in point of sell systems

Snow Groomers

Brief Description:

Groomers maintain slope conditions to unsure that runs are smooth and safe. Grooming is done after Ski hill closes for the day. Groomers also push the manmade piles of snow around to help shape the Hill for the season.

Responsibilities:

- Create high quality sliding conditions
- Blade snow to maintain consistency of runs
- Shape hill and terrain parks
- Maintain load and unload area’s on lifts
- Perform pre start up inspections of machine
- Perform shut down and post operational procedures including
- Documentation regarding machine maintenance
- Observe carefully and adhere to all company safety, operating and maintenance procedures
- Maintain a good working relationship with all staff and assist other departments as required
- Have an eye for risk management issues
- Good radio communication

Qualifications:

• Mountain operations experience and or heavy equipment operating experience
• Mechanically inclined
• Valid driver’s license
• Self motivated, responsible and open minded
• Able to work alone or with others
• Able to work shift work and odd hours
• Physically healthy and good Skier or snowboarder

Snow Maker

Working as part of a team to open and maintain skiing terrain with the best possible snow that can be created.

Responsibilities:

- Produce quality snow through the use of fan guns
- Perform all tasks safely as per Industrial Health and Safety Regulations
- Work closely with, and assist other departments such as grooming, Ski Patrol, Lift Operation and any special Events
- Operate various electrical and pressurized air and water equipment
- Operate various types of motorized equipment on and off the mountain
- Perform minor maintenance duties as required
- Abide by all mountain rules and regulations at all times on or off the job

Qualifications:

• Good team work skills
• Physically able to perform manual tasks
• Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to think and work independently
• Good mechanical aptitude, preferably demonstrated in previous experience
• Valid BC drivers license
• Snowmaking experience is an asset
• Snowmobile and /or snow cat experience is an asset
• Knowledge of mountain terrain is an asset

Lift operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Ski Hill lifts, and the customers that use them. They spend their days helping customers, of all skill levels, load and unload from lifts, in all kinds of weather. The job of a lift operator is critical to the success of our operation because of the time that is spent with the guests

Responsibilities:

- Provide excellent customer service and create positive memories for the guests
- Operate the assigned lift safely and efficiently
- Provide physical assistance to guests as required
- Maintain all operational aspects of the assigned lifts – ramps, mazes and signs
- Help with hill sweep at end of day

Qualifications:

• Have reasonable knowledge of the sport
