Brief Description:
Now hiring for the Sping & Summer Season, cooks for our busy golf and lodging operations. A cook will execute service from either line or banquets, produce mis en place for kitchen, maintain sanitation & safety at all times and put forth a positive attitude towards position & colleagues. Experience is an asset, but not required as we will traing the right individual. Enthusiasm is mandatory!
Responsibilities:
- Show up for scheduled shift on time and in proper uniform each day
- Communicate before and during shift in kitchen with chef de partie/lodge chef as to primary tasks to be achieved
- Complete training as execute assigned station with precision and consistency
- Follow health & safety procedures and adhere to safety regulations
- Continuously put forth a positive effort
- Monitoring prep levels based on business levels, follow all recipes to spec
- Ability to read and execute recipes & plating procedures
- Follow sanitation guidelines as per management
Qualifications:
- Previous culinary experience not necessary a positive attitude is a must
- Able to comprehend English written and spoken
- Must be a team player
- Good hygiene practices
- Must have a desire for the industry, to be creative and create
Working Conditions
- Shift work is expected (am, pm or both and weekends)
- Locations may vary as we have 9 F&B (some seasonal) outlets resort wide
- Holidays are usually our busiest times
Physical Requirements
- Standing for 8 hours is required (with breaks)
- Lifting up to 50 lbs on certain occasions
