Hot Springs & Pools
Crystal clear and all natural, the mineral hot springs at Fairmont Hot Springs are a legendary attraction. Slip into the soothing hot water and feel your worries wash away as you gaze through the steam toward stunning views of Fairmont Ridge – the most prominent peaks in the Stanford Range of the Rocky Mountains.
The recorded history of Fairmont Hot Springs begins in the early 1800s, when explorers discovered the hot springs and marvelled at their lack of the distinctive sulphur smell common among other hot springs. In 1923 the first pool was constructed, and by 1926 Fairmont Hot Springs was receiving widespread recognition for the curative powers of its naturally hot waters. Today, visitors from around the globe trek to this cherished region to embrace the mystical healing properties of Fairmont Hot Springs.
Renowned for their therapeutic qualities, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort's pools are among the cleanest in North America. Over 1.5 million gallons of mineral-rich hot spring waters flow through the pools daily, and at night the pools are drained, scrubbed and refilled by morning.
