Today, there are more than 600 million people world-wide using Facebook (and that's probably quite a conservative number)...
As expected, Google, has entered the realm of social media and their new Google+ looks pretty cool. If this thing goes big we'd better get used to terms like Hangouts, Sparks, Huddle and Circles. Here's what the Google folk say about circles specifically: You share different things with different people. But sharing the right things with the right people shouldn't be a hassle. Circles makes it easy to put your friends from Saturday night in one circle, your parents in another and your boss in a circle all on his own – just like in real life.
It sounds like Google+ comes with better personal security (considering that your private life remains hidden from your boss) but time and use will tell. That said, right now, access is by invitation only and their system is already over capacity - it may be a while before "non-celebs" like us gain access to the full site.
Are you excited about Google Plus? Will you open an account and use it along with Facebook? Or, will you say goodbye to Facebook and adopt this new channel? Check it out and let us know if Google+ is the way to go.
