There are 6km of cross-country trails located at the Fairmont Hot Springs Ski Area. Please remember to bring your Nordic skis with you, these rentals are not available at the resort.
The Lake Windermere Whiteway is maintained by the local Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club and is a popular 15km groomed track that runs around Lake Windermere, connecting the towns of Invermere and Windermere. The Whiteway has three components: classic cross country tracks, a groomed skate skiing track, and an ice-skating track. The closest access point to Fairmont Hot Springs is at Windermere beach. There is a donation box at the point of entry, and users are encouraged to pay a day-use fee of $5.00 to contribute to the ongoing upkeep of the facility. This trail system offers 16km of trails track set for classic skiing in gently rolling terrain. Access is from Hewitt Road approximately 11km north of Radium Hot Springs. Daily: $4.00 per person.
Nipika Mountain Resort is located on Settlers Road (14km off Highway 93 in Kootenay National Park) between Radium Hot Springs, B.C. and Banff. They have 50km of trails set for classic and skate skiing. Daily: $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids 12 and under, $50.00 for a Season Pass. Rentals available.
The Greywolf Nordic Centre offers more than 20km of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing, and more than 4km of snowshoe trails. Daily: Adult $10.00, teen $7.00, Junior $6.00. Family: 2 adults, 2 children $25.00. Rentals available.
Located 3.5km south of Radium, the resort sets approximately 3km of classic ski tracks in a loop trail around the golf course. Parking and trail access are available at the parking area adjacent to the main resort lodge. Access to ski trails is provided free of charge. Dogs welcome.
