With a unique microclimate that makes the summers here long and pleasant, outdoor enthusiasts find no end of ways to fill their sunny days in the Columbia Valley.
The Valley is home to several championship golf courses (including Mountainside, Riverside and Creekside at Fairmont Hot Springs) and to a number of national and provincial parks whose rugged landscapes, hanging glaciers, waterfalls and panoramic mountain summits beg for exploration. The valley trail system that will wind through Fairmont Hot springs will be another great way to venture out and explore the Rocky mountain wilderness that embraces the community.
